Karena Kyne – Systems & Security Group (SSG)

I am a PhD candidate supervised by Dr Daniel Prince and Dr Mark Lacy. My research is focused on military logistics systems in contemporary times and aims to produce an analysis of why and how current sociotechnical systems produce low probability, high impact fragilities. The aim is to develop some strategic ways of looking at sociotechnical military logistics networks in a way that is more suited to their complexity, in order to reduce the chance of systemic failure in the network. This research is situated in the context of critical security and acceleration theory.
