Ric Derbyshire – Systems & Security Group (SSG)

I’m a PhD student under Dr Benjamin Green, Dr Jerry Busby, and Professor David Hutchison, as part of an industrial CASE award funded by EPSRC and Airbus. I have worked in cyber security since 2011, providing consultancy and penetration testing to a diverse range of clients of varying size and sector. I still engage in industry work, and as such, endeavour to maintain industry relevance, applicability, and usability throughout my academic work. My research at Lancaster University focuses on adversary-centric risk assessment in cyber security, more specifically, the costs incurred by an adversary in performing a cyber attack.
